Additionally, as a national public institution directly subordinate to the Ministry of Transport, Guangzhou Salvage undertakes responsibilities of emergency rescue and salvage in the South China Sea.
Guangzhou Salvage has abundant equipment and spread with total assets exceeding 10 billion Yuan (approximately USD 1.5 billion). Our fleet includes over 50 vessels, such as 4000t fully revolving floating crane barge, 800t self-elevating offshore wind power installation vessel, semi-submersible ships ranging from 26,000 to 80,000 DWT, 15000 DWT semi-submersible barges, tugboats ranging from 2500kW to 18000kW, platform supply vessels (PSV), underwater 3D gravel leveling and dredging ship, along with other specialized vessels. Besides, Guangzhou Salvage is equipped with a 3000M Work-Class ROV, a 1,200KJ hydraulic pile hammer, a 3,500KJ hydraulic pile hammer, a 450t linear winch, a piling positioning frame for offshore wind power piling operation, an underwater mud penetrator, a spilled oil pumping and recovery unit, a heliox diving system, a multi beam sonar system, an underwater 3D imaging sonar, MacGregor Offshore AHC Knuckle Jib Crane,USBL etc. Our infrastructure is comprehensive, including docks, shipyards, and salvage bases. We have a sophisticated team of professionals, which comprises 3 experts enjoying special government bonus, over 600 senior management personnel, senior technical personnel and highly skilled professionals, as well as close to 1,000 skilled technical workers and crew members.
Guangzhou Salvage possesses exceptional expertise in technology and construction capabilities. Numerous projects have been honored with national and provincial awards, including the "National Quality Engineering Award", "China Municipal Engineering Golden Cup Award", and"Zhan Tianyou Grand Prize". Guangzhou Salvage has led or contributed to the drafting of 10 national or provincial standard, such as the "Code for Construction and Quality Acceptance of Immersed Tube Tunnels". In addition, Guangzhou Salvage holds nearly 100 patents.
Rescue and Salvage
Since the reform of China Rescue and Salvage system in 2003, Guangzhou Salvage has undertaken a total of 423 salvage operations, successfully rescue 129 vessels and property valued at RMB 7.08 billion (approximately USD 1 billion). Additionally, 59 sunken ships were removed, the remains of 185 victims have been recovered, and 1,133 lives have been saved.
Immersed Tunnel
As the pioneer in China to master and execute immersed tunnel construction, Guangzhou Salvage stands as the sole entity that possesses expertise in Gravel Bedding Foundation Treatment Method and Sand Flow Foundation Treatment Method. Guangzhou Salvage has independently developed a world-leading 3D gravel leveling and dredging vessel and achieved a breakthrough in the construction technology of immersed tunnels. Our accomplishments extend to the successful installation of over 130 tunnel sections for more than 20 tunnel projects at domestic and international.
Offshore Oil & Gas Engineering
Guangzhou Salvage is capable in installation of module, jacket, single point mooring system, pipeline and cable laying, and also provides other offshore oil field service, ROV service, underwater equipment maintenance and repair, diving service, etc.
Offshore Wind Power Construction
Guangzhou Salvage is professional in various types of offshore wind power foundation construction (including monopile, jacket, suction bucket foundation, and floating foundation). We have cooperated with several domestic wind power development enterprises and have undertaken and completed dozens of offshore wind power projects domestically and internationally. Guangzhou Salvage is making every effort to become a leading company in offshore wind power construction.
Semi-submersible Transportation and Ocean Towage
Guangzhou Salvage has 50 years’ experience in offshore heavy cargo transportation and ocean towage. Our semi-submersible fleet is one of the tops in the world. We are capable in transportation of drilling platforms, modules, jackets and float-over installation. Additionally, we provide ocean towage for large ships and FPSO. We offer turn-key solution that include the launching, wet-towing, loading/discharging, transportation and installation.
Hydraulic and Municipal Works
Guangzhou Salvage is capable in constructing wharves over 10,000 tons and deep-water jetties, prefabricating and installing of large caissons, underwater pipeline laying, various types of foundation treatment. We had established good market reputation in the United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Pakistan, Indonesia and other countries.
Ship Building
Guangzhou Salvage shipyard is cable inbuilding vessels up to 10,000 GT, including various types such as tugboats, passenger ferries, cargo ships, beacon ships, and public service vessels. We have exported our vessels overseas such as Indonesia and Singapore. In addition, we undertake the construction of all kinds of large steel structures and are capable of performing specialized modifications on all types of vessels.
Diving Training
Guangzhou Diving School is the only full-time diving school in China. The school provides training for construction and tourism diving, underwater welding, underwater inspection, and also offers a variety of diving operation services.
