Project Profile:

The Xin Guang Bridge locates between Luo Xi Bridge and Pan Yu Bridge. It starts from Nan Zhou Road, Hai Zhu District, crosses the main channel of Zhu Jiang River and ends near the Xi Ning Road, Sha Xi Village of Pan Yu District. The bridge span arrangement of Xin Guang Bridge is (3×50)m+(177+428+177)m+(3×50)m. The main bridge section is a steel truss arch bridge of flying goose type with three-span continuous rigid frame structure (177m+428m+177m). And the approach bridges at the two ends are 3×50m prestressed concrete continuous box girder structures. The overall length of the bridge is 1083.2m.

Innovations:
Since the middle section of the main arch rib structure weighs 2850t, we had used 350t numerical control hydraulic jack and other new pulling equipments, which had controlled the offset during the pulling, and well solved the difficulty of pulling of heavy steel structure.
