Construction Period: December 2012 – July 2014

Project Profile:
The submarine gas pipelines start from To Kwa Wan, Kowloon, cross the Victoria Harbor, end at North Point, HK Island. The single pipeline is about 3125m long, and the total length of the two pipelines is about 6250m. The design lowest trench bottom elevation is -18.0MPD, the maximum construction water depth reaches 20.85m.

Innovations:
1. Innovation in steel cable bottom pulling technique
Since the route of the middle section of pipelines performs as double “S” curves, underwater pipeline route guiding units had been installed along the double “S” curves route.
2. Innovation in pipelines bottom pulling technique
Based on the pipelines route design and the site situation, bottom pulling of the twin pipelines was carried out boldly.
