GS owns advanced equipment and techniques for Immersed Tunnel Construction, and she is the only national company that owns the First Grade Qualification in this field. From participating the construction of Hongkong Eastern Cross-Harbour Tunnel since 1987 till now, she has successfully undertaken 6 immersed tunnels (the East Harbour-crossing Tunnel of HK, the West one, the 502 Subway Tunnel, the Zhujiang Crossing-river Tunnel, the Ningbo Yongjiang Cross-river Tunnel, and the Shanghai Outer Ring Cross-River Tunnel). In these projects she had displayed her internationally advanced expertise and had created a new era of Immersed Tunnel Construction in China.

Yongjiang Cross-River Tunnel in Ningbo was awarded Second Prize of Scientific Progress by the Ministry of Communications, and Huangsha Cross-River Tunnel in Guangzhou was awarded Special Prize of Scientific Progress by Guangzhou Government.
