The main scope of this diving service project includes sediments removal inside the intake tunnel, diving inspection, underwater video, tunnel stoplog slot cover open and recover, tunnel stoplog removal and installation and etc. Guangzhou Salvage has initiated a new situation in mixed gas diving field with the success of this diving service project, which required a maximum operating depth of 119m underwater. And with the concerted effort, persistent striving, scientific planning, delicate operation, the construction team has created a deep water operating miracle that “lifted and placed the stoplog directly into the slot at a depth of 105m underwater by adjusting the barge position under survey but without divers’ guidance.”
