FPSO Cdm & Cds module Installation Project was the first EPCI project that Guangzhou Salvage implemented as a contractor. The client was SBM Offshore and the scope of work included installation of 28 modules and 2 flare towers accordingly onto two FPSO. Project management and construction were implemented according to the International QHSE system, and the engineering was calculated under the Noble Denton Guideline. This project was successfully completed.It is an important step for Guangzhou Salvage to enter into the international offshore construction market.
The innovation of the detail design and construction includes:
1）First time using AUTO CAD 3D modeling function in the engineering design. It accumulates the experience for accurate and complex lifting design。
2) Exploring an improved design of spreader beam, this design made the spreader beam lighter, higher bearing capacity, and wider scope of application. It effectively reduced the cost and improves the efficiency.
3）Noble Denton Guideline was used in the engineering. We summed up one engineering and analysis method for the multi lifting points and formed a standardized engineering process for reference of the similar project.
4) For the first time independently carrying out the design and construction of the lifting and installation of the flare tower which is 150 meters in height and 512 tons in weight.
5) QHSE management system was firstly used through the project.
